Announcements for the week of December 8, 2014
THERE’S LOTS GOING ON!
- If you are in the musical pit orchestra, we practice today (Monday), after school until 5, as well as Wednesday and Friday! Be there, on time, ready to go immediately after school.
- PEP BAND begins this week! White Band on THURSDAY at 5:45PM, Orange and Black Bands FRIDAY at 6:15PM.
- MANY of you still need to purchase your PEP BAND SHIRT! They are $15 and available in the band office. Take care of this immediately! You are required to wear the pep band shirt and your own blue jeans for all games.
- Contest soloists: please take home a permission slip and return by December 15. We need to know that your parents know you are being a contest soloist. Permission slip is also available here: Solo Permission Form
- The annual HOLIDAY CONCERT is next Tuesday, December 16, beginning at 7:00PM. Since this is a Holiday Pops Concert, simply dress up in your holiday best! Dress clothes: NICE clothes – no jeans, uncollared shirts, or tennis shoes allowed! ANY QUESTIONS please contact Mr. Maccabee! DRESS UP AND HAVE FUN!
- Symphonic Band play-tests continue all week. Take them SERIOUSLY! Grading will be strict. A’s will have to be earned.
- Symphonic Band percussion: you will have your sectional for grade next MONDAY MORNING, December 15, at 7AM.
- Symphonic Band members: please do not forget your $90 payment for the WIU Band Showcase extravaganza is due no later than January 20! Checks made out to UTHS. If for ANY reason someone CANNOT participate, Mr. Maccabee MSUT hear from your parents IMMEDIATELY so arrangements can be made.
